Property estate managers of the Queen’s Duchy of Lancaster have completed work on the Lancashire project, which involved converting farm buildings here into office spaces. A total of six units of commercially viable space have been created here amid beautiful surroundings unmatched by any other location across the country, according to the developers.

The six office units span a 7,000 sq ft area of shared office space in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The location is at Dunsop Bridge at the Root Hill Estate Yard. The area is known for its natural beauty and greenery, a setting that is unique for office buildings. The rent rate has been finalised at £10 per sq ft for now.

Architects Duncan Isherwood in Clitheroe were in charge of the restoration work while Fylde Interiors of Lytham oversaw the entire project, which encompassed conversion of stables and barns into commercial property. Care has been taken to retain the original charm of these buildings by keeping the roof trusses and panelled walls intact in the new buildings.

Environment friendly materials have been used to maintain insulation, while heating and cooling operations are to be carried out by means of more traditional and green methods.

Mark Fogden from Smiths Gore, who are managing agents for the Duchy, said that these offices will be a one-of-a-kind location in the UK for tenants who move here owing to the pristine natural surroundings and matchless greenery. The Duchy has been a part of the landscape since the 13th century and encompasses a 18,700 hectare area across England and Wales.
