Postpartum Hair Loss- a Nightmare for Lactating Mums?
Postpartum hair loss is the hair loss noticed after pregnancy. The main reason for postpartum hair loss is the action of hormones that are prevalent during pregnancy. The hormones are produced during pregnancy excessively, which leads to changes in skin and other body parts. Many pregnant women will notice that their hair is a lot thicker than normally.
The postpartum hair loss starts after the birth of the baby since the hair in growth phase of the hair cycle try to attend maturity. After completion of three months, the hair enters into the growth phase and new hair have replaced the old hair. The amount of postpartum hair loss varies between individuals with some women experiencing more shedding than others. In families where the hair thinning is inherited, the shedding of hair is more noticeable after childbirth.
In general the postpartum hair loss lasts for at least six months and then the re-growth of hair is noticed. The majority of women will notice that the hair attains its pre-pregnancy state again within six months after childbirth.
The postpartum hair loss requires no treatment, because it is a temporary transformation in the growth cycle of hair due to hormonal alteration during pregnancy.
In spite of the normal process of postpartum hair loss, the excessive hair falling can be controlled to some extent. Hair will be removed easily due to excessive brushing after childbirth. So it is always advised to avoid excessive brushing. Rubbing preparations into the scalp or taking vitamins may bring some positive results. Postpartum hair loss does occur after every pregnancy.
You can go for wigs of different pattern to hide excessive thinning of hairs due to postpartum hair loss. Since the postpartum hair loss is a temporary condition, it will make your life somewhat better. Since a good wig is found to be too expense, it is up to you to select whether it is required or not.
If you notice excessive postpartum hair loss after giving birth to a baby, hair re-growth can easily be achieved by using hair loss products such as Viviscal, Nisim, Revivogen, and Tricomin. These hair re-grow products are usually available in the form of scalp lotions, conditioner, and shampoos. Hair Renew, a special product for women, cleanses the scalp, neutralizes the DHT and nourishes the hair follicles to prop up healthy hair growth.
Poor nutrition and modern lifestyles can act as a predisposing factor for postpartum hair loss. Adopting stringent dietary pattern can prevent excessive postpartum hair loss. By eating appropriate levels of useful carbohydrates, eating adequate amounts of protein, and achieving a healthy balance of dietary fats, you can achieve a good nutritional status to avoid postpartum hair loss.

Taking Back Sunday
If you read my article, “Decaying Morals,” then you know I take a hard stand on what I see as a steady unraveling of the moral fabric in society. As much as I would like to start a crusade, the end purpose of which would be to awaken us to this negative trend, I realize that I am only one person with little resources to accomplish this. I do have my writing ability and it is this that I intend to use to at least have some impact on what I see as a most important social issue these days.
Without waxing too philosophical, we can examine the issue of moral decline and come up with at least a few reasons as to its cause. A lot of these reasons have been put forth by others and so the need to regurgitate them here seems inappropriate. The end purpose of presenting this discussion is to start pounding this point home with regularity in the hope that eventually more and more people will become aware of it and start to speak out against its ravaging effects. For goodness’ sake, look at the children of today. How do you think the Puritans who came over on the Mayflower would react if they could get a sneak preview of the way adolescents behave today? Please, I am not saying that all adolescents are ill-bred, poorly behaved, or thoroughly lacking in respect. Unfortunately, the prevalence of these qualities in our youth is overwhelming. As a result, I can’t take it anymore and I hate what I see. I have to believe that others feel the same, that I am not in the minority.
In looking at this issue, we must ask the following: Can we put all the blame on the adolescents? The technological revolution has been a boon to many. So many have gotten so rich off of the internet revolution, the explosion in computers and other technological novelties, and man’s burgeoning desire for more and more electronic gadgetry. Unfortunately we both prosper and suffer from the far-reaching tentacles of the technology beast. To wit, the internet has become a haven of scam artists, child molesters, drug pushersyou name it. Anything and everything is only a click away. Indeed such technological progress has brought much good, but man, in his inherently rebellious way, has found a way to pervert and twist into malevolent form the benefits of this evolutionary progress.
Today children have become desensitized to such things as violence, abuse, scandaleven the use of the “F” word. Common everyday language has an ample supply of curse words used as descriptive adjectives, adverbs, and even prepositions. The movies that are watched, the music that is listened to, the video games that are playedall contain graphic imagery and sounds of a perverted nature. Am I being too prudish? I don’t think so. And those parents out there reading this, who have experienced the rebelliousness of their kids and their displays of disrespect, know all too well that I am not being too prudish. If anything, I am being mild in my presentation of the facts.
Should the aforementioned make us cynical and cause us to lose heart. No. Absolutely not! We must take action and start speaking out on this most important topic. We have to stop conceding that such behavior is the result of “just a phase our teens are going through,” and that such is typical of kids and to be expected. While we are understanding and tolerant to a certain degree, we must start the campaign to change society. I mean, why does music have to contain so many curses? Repetitive cursing that only can wreak damage on our youth and further desensitize them to such language. And artists are making millions off of this stuff. My books and writings serve to educate and help children, and my royalties are a few dollars. These artists come out and pervert our children, bombard them with negative and perverse images, and their royalties are in the tens of millions, if not more; furthering their drive to create more such works and leading them to believe that what they are doing is great for the world.
I don’t deny it: I would love to have great success as a result of my writings and my books, receive recognition for my hard work and creative ideas, or see some other “do-gooder” strike it rich for having done something important for society. But not these parasites that are making far too much money corrupting our most precious giftour children.
Take a stand with me and let’s start taking back our children, our morals, and our nation from the thieves who rob us on a daily basis.

Refinancing Your Mortgage - The Advantages And Disadvantages To Consider
Refinancing is a term in the finance industry that refers to the process of paying off a current or present loan with a second loan. If the situation is right, refinancing can be very beneficial for those who take advantage of this type of financial opportunity.
So how do you know when the situation is right for refinancing your mortgage?
Refinancing your mortgage works best if the interest rates are low. If they aren’t, then refinancing is out of the question. The idea is to save you lots of money which you would have used to pay off your monthly recurring bills on your current loan. With refinancing your mortgage, there is the possibility that the monthly repayment amount will be reduced since the rates would be considerably lower.
However, keep in mind that interest rates are change all the time. They vary in accordance with the changing economy. So it can therefore be assumed that interest rates are never low for long periods and neither are they high for long durations of time. Because of this inherent flexibility of interest rates, refinancing your mortgage may not always be beneficial to everyone. For home owners with second mortgages, mortgage refinancing may cause issues. The same goes for those people with a lot of debt or those having trouble paying their bills on time.
What is the best way to measure costs and gains from refinancing my mortgage?
There are advantages and disadvantages to refinancing your mortgage. The idea is to have foreknowledge of what you’re in for. For some, the best method to find out what the gains are in refinancing is by simple comparison.
Compare all costs of your current loan and a new mortgage over a future period. Since the loan period may vary according to how steadfast you are in paying your bills, just make the best guess as to how long you will have the new mortgage. If the total costs are lower with the new mortgage, then you should refinance.
How much can I borrow by refinancing a mortgage?
The lender might choose to grant you a refinancing loan equivalent to the amount you applied for. However, they may choose to grant you less as well.
The lending company usually considers the four following aspects when evaluating your refinance loan application.
1. Your ability to pay. They will want to know if you have a regular job, and how much income you receive.
2. Your credit history. They will request a credit report; this contains all your financial details.
3. Other monetary obligations. They will require you to disclose other loans or obligations you are currently paying for.
4. Your home’s value. This is in the case of home equity loans. They will ask your property to be appraised.
The benefits of refinancing are astounding, provided that the situation is right for a mortgage refinance. However, because of these perceived great benefits of refinancing, many people have the misconception that refinancing won’t cost them money.
Refinancing your mortgage is just like any other loan and of course, it will cost you money. What makes it stand out is the fact that it can cost you less compared to most other loans and can be very effective to consolidate high interest debts.

5 Survival Tools for Thriving in Any Life Storm
If you are conscious and honest with yourself, challenges occur in your life. Some of these challenges will be small. Others will seem to shake the very foundation of your life and make you wonder why you were ever born. It is at times like the latter that you need tools in your shed to help you weather the storm.
1. Connect with Spirit/God/the Universe This is the first and most important tool. Nurturing your connection to a Higher Power will alleviate the feeling of loneliness that often comes when we feel that life is raining on us. When you are solidly grounded in Spirit, you know that life is always on your side despite what it may look like at the moment. This job loss may be the motivation you need in order to start your own business. Maintain your connection with your God and seek comfort and guidance there first in all situations.
2. Love yourself. Does this sound a bit like New Age jargon? Well, it’s the second tool you need in your shed or you will most certainly get caught up in the hurricane. This hurricane sometimes looks like the end of a relationship that is completely devastating. The truth is that you are now being given a divine opportunity to love yourself. Until you are able to love yourself, you cannot love or be loved by someone else. This will show up in all of your relationships. The people in our lives are here to show us how we feel about ourselves and sometimes to allow us to use our new tools to exert our new boundaries.
3. Have a vision for your life. Life is a journey. When you get into your car to drive from Chicago to St. Louis, you have directions and a map in case you need to take a detour. Being on your way to your vision is no different than taking a road trip. You need a clear direction in which to travel and a map in case you need to take a detour. Write your vision down and keep it someplace where you will see it. Read it often and use it to make your plans and to-do lists. This vision is your map to your future. When you are feeling discouraged, read it and know that that is where you are headed. Detours may be necessary; but not only do you not have to stay off course, you may enjoy the scenery if you realize that this is just a detour. Read your vision out loud. Every word that leaves your mouth is a prayer. God always answers prayers.
4. Establish a Network of support. “No man is an island, entire of itself.” John Donne was completely right in this saying. We are all interconnected and we need to nurture the support that comes with that interconnectedness if we are to thrive. If you find yourself in the middle of a storm, turn to your support network. These are people who love you and want only the best for you. They will be your shoulder to cry on and a resource when you’re not thinking clearly. If you do not currently have a strong support system, seek one by hiring a coach, speaking with your pastor, starting a mastermind group or joining other groups that are of interest. The key is not to isolate yourself or think that you have to do it all alone. You are eternally connected to all life and it is to your advantage to utilize that connection.
5. Be willing to let go and embrace change. When your life seems to be falling apart, realize that change is inevitable and surrender to it. The journey will be much more pleasant if you aren’t dragged along kicking and screaming the entire way. Focus on what’s good in your life and before you know it, the storm is over and there’s a beautiful rainbow waiting for you.
Life has challenges. This is one of the purposes for incarnation. Your job is to weather the storm with as little pain as possible. Ground yourself in your spirituality as a protective measure. Harbor tremendous love for yourself and see that the storms are of a lower intensity. Maintain your vision and stay on course through even the most treacherous turmoil. Rally your support for extra protection and damage control. Finally, be willing to embrace change and allow things to fall away if necessary. Mourn the loss and move on as there are always better things in store for you. If you open your hands and let go, there’s room for you to receive.

Why Is The Social Elite Liberal?
During last year’s election it forced me to think of why many members of the “Social elite” like Dan Rather, Barbara Streisand, Susan Sarandon and Alec Baldwin are ultra liberal. It took me a while but I finally came up with a plausible answer. So why would the extremely wealthy “social elite” be so liberal?
1) They Live a Utopian Lifestyle - One of the reasons that the “Social elite” are extremely liberal is that they live a life that most of us can’t even imagine or relate to. They have so much money, they don’t even know what to to do with it and they can do just about anything. I think that they feel guilty that they have such wealth (they really don’t have to), that they feel that they need to prove to society that they care or have a social conscience.
That’s why they join groups like PETA. They think society will think highly of them. This is not true. I think that most of us pity these little people. We know that they don’t really care and that they do most of their grand-standing for public attention
2) They Won’t be harmed by the high cost of liberal/social policy - Yes that’s right! The “social elite” wouldn’t be harmed by the high cost of liberal policies or programs. If social welfare programs like comprehensive health care or expanded unemployment benefits were to be enacted, the “social elite” wouldn’t be harmed by paying higher taxes, like the rest of us would. Many of these elites make tens of millions of dollars a year. If high taxes like Canada were put in place to pay for the high cost of social programs, these elites would still be extremely wealthy.
The “Social elite” can feel self righteous that they have a social conscience because they support liberal policies but they wouldn’t be harmed by the high cost of paying for those programs. The rest of us (middle class) would be left behind to feel the pinch of the added burden of dipping into our pocket books.
